ABOUT
This piano piece, together with the Brazilian Rhapsody, was written after one of my trips to Rio de Janeiro.
In contrast with the grandiosity of the Rhapsody, this is a more intimate piece.
The E flat minor key of the main theme invokes the nostalgia of the days spent in Rio, while the second theme, in D flat, illustrates the joy and vivacity of the Brazilian people.
No doubt this wonderful and multicultural city left in me very good memories of the time I spent there.
